Jalin Couper joins the Prime’ Sport Performance & Therapy team as an Athletic Therapist. She has a Degree in Athletic Therapy from Camosun College in Victoria, a Bachelors of Science Human Kinetics Degree from the St Francis Xavier University and is a Certified Athletic Therapist with the Canadian Athletic Therapists’ Association. From an early age, Jalin watched professional sports with her family, which led her to develop a passion to be part of a team. She now brings this passion with her to the sidelines of the sports field, as well as into the treatment room.
As an Athletic Therapist, Jalin has worked in a wide variety of therapeutic settings, as well as with athletes at all levels of sport. Having had the opportunity to travel and work with world class athletes,. she was able to further her knowledge and specialize in performance-driven rehabilitation. Jalin now works with multiple teams and often finds herself on the field with Rugby, Football and Soccer teams or at a rink with Lacrosse and Hockey teams. She enjoys working collaboratively with clients from all backgrounds and abilities to improve their daily function and empower and guide them back to living a healthy lifestyle.
Jalin has a varied personal background in sports, such as Ringette, Hockey, Volleyball and Field Hockey, to name a few. It was a rare night that she was not at a rink, pitch or court and to this day, not much has changed. Presently, instead of wearing a jersey, she’s is now out in the field caring for athletes of all levels, ensuring they have the much needed access to the medical care they require. She looks forward to working closely with the rest of the Prime Team in order to provide the highest standard of care, not only treating and rehabilitating injuries, but also helping the patient prevent injuries in the future, which ultimately helps them optimize their performance.
